Ignore playing clips when recording in arrangement view?

Ive been using Push to sequence external hardware and recording the results on a seperate audio track in arrangement view.

But nigglingly when Live records in arrangement view it always records the midi of any playing clips onto the respective track, whether it is armed or not.

Is it possible to play a session clip and record incoming audio onto an arrangement, but not record any session clip midi?

As mentioned track arming has no effect, neither does midi input settings...
