RME USB driver = problem ?

Hi,

this morning i open live9 standard (that i hvn't used for.. years) on my W8 laptop.
i update everything (including RME soundcard driver) and try to set a session.
but in the preferences/Audio if i select the Asio driver and my ASIO Fireface USB then a live message pops up telling me it can not connect to this soundcard

but i see Midi clock coming in LIVE through that soundcard. i can activate the EXT link to play/stop live from nuendo (on my desktop)
i tried to restart, change USB port.
if i play a music on foobar i can see and select the RME and i have some sound coming out of it..

so i installed an old driver of RME and it is working.

last rme driver has a problem with live ?

You're not giving people the info needed to help you.

RME what audio interface specifically? They have made a few. You are using driver 1.095 I assume?

What version of Live specifically? 9.7? What version of Windows specifically?

Have you made a search in the relevant RME web forum?

it's a rme fireface uc but the driver is the same for all rme so i thought maybe soundcard is not relevant.
yes last driver as i updated everything soundcard live windows.

live is updated .. so yeah it's 9.7

Doyou updated the firmware too? sometimes it is required.

Or maybe the USB cable is not properly plugged in to the fireface UC. Mine has become loose and any small movement disconects it.

They weren't when I posted and not now either. If you have further problems reaching the site you can check if the connection problem is in your end. There is nothing there indicating there is a problem with Live and Windows 10 that I can find.

I'd reinstall the driver and make sure firmware is updated too as login suggested.

Rme forum is down or just not accessible? I don't use it now but had a lot of problems accessing it over the years.
