KORG volca beats and ableton

Post by DavidGabriel » Sun Oct 23, 2016 5:21 pm

Hi, guys.

Can you help me out?

I want to record my KORG volca beats on an audio track of the ableton.
I have an old Focusrite Saphire Soundcard with midi capacities.
So I conected the MIIDI OUT of the soundcard to the MIDI IN of KORG vocal beats.
On Ableton I opened out an External Instrument and assigned it The Focusrite, then on an audio track I assigned audio from the external Instrument.
Now where I assign the audio from Korg vocal beats?

I hope you understand what I want.

Thank's

Do you have the audio output of the Volca connected to an input of your audio interface?

You assign it right there in External Instrument. If you want to record to an audio track, you assign that in your audio track to the output of the External Instrument track pre-fader.

Naturally the output from the Volca must be connected to your inputs, that need to be available in Live. Look in Preferences > Audio.
Make some music!

That's what I thought, but since I don't have for now the cables, I had to ask to be sure.

Thank's guys.
