quite independent of the logic or live-load, everything is very slow in live5.
this wasn´t the case with L4 in the same projects.
there seems to be some room for optimization

G5 dual 2,5 / 4,5 ram / OS 10.4.2 / Motu 828 / Powercore PCI / Midex8 (1.0.0b4)/ Live 5.01 / Logic 7.1 / SX 3.02 / Halion 3.1 ...

may i kindly bring this up again? is there any chance that the GUI performance in rewiremode will improve significantly with upcoming updates? as it is, it´s very hard to work exactly and the time consumption is enormous..

Same problem here : Live 5.01 reacts very sluggish in Rewire mode with Logic 7.1.
Hope this can be fixed soon.

no mention of this in the 5.02 beta fixlists.
is there any chance that this will improve with 5.02 or even at all?

I definitely notice this sluggishness in comparison to Live 4. But also I have lots of crashing. I started a new thead with no respnses. Any of you Logic guys having crashes with Live 5 rewired to Logic 7.1?

i don´t have too many crashes lately and there wasn´t any that i could clearly associate with the logic/live5 combi. but you never know - at least the crashlogs doesn´t mention anything about rewire...

this also a big problem for me as I use live exclusively for drums and samples, rewired into logic. It seems sluggish on it's own but very much so in rewire mode, which makes it kind of a pain to do a lot of audio file editing. hopefully this will be fixed soon, although it could be something on logic's side. does anyone have the same behaviour with cubase sx or digital performer?

good question. i just tried it with sx3.02 and it´s a lot better.
but with live 4 i didn´t have these probs in logic 7.1 so i´d still think it´s rather a live problem...

Hi folks,
how many time Live has to process data when running as rewire slave depends on the kind of action you do in Live and on your used ReWire host application.
That is why it behaves different for different ReWire hosts.
We are currently investigating this issue to see what we can do but I cannot provide a fix or a date of a fix.
regards,
Alex
