How do I continuously record even when pressing stop?

I need to record audio and video simultaneously and have them line up after. I have a metronome going so I can't record the audio in Audacity. Is there a M4L plugin that records the output of Ableton continuously despite pressing stop and start on the playhead? Thanks.

To avoid the metronome this should work: use a "Main" buss and send all tracks to that. Record from the "Main" buss.
