Bugs, Basics and Bonus - How do you evaluate Devs Work?

Based on the never-ending discussions:

I would like to know your opinion about how development work is managed at Ableton today.

Here are my personal thoughts:

I´ll split the challenge of software development in 3 simple "B´s" in order of their importance.
Which are:

-Bugs
-Basics
-Bonus

First part, Bugs, i do not have any complaints here.
Most Bugs have been eliminated busily during the last years.
So:
+1

Second, Basics.
I think here is the biggest building area.
There are just too many things that had become stadard where L9 seems outdated.
e.g. Scroll/Zoom/Touchpad standards, HiRes on Windows, personal Preferences, just to name a few.
So:
-1

Last: Bonus.
Or, others might say "new" or "desired" features.
This certainly is the biggest discussion, due to the never achievable objektivity.
Personally most of the new features i do like, but what does that really count when
i feel the lack of Basics?
So:
+-0

What are your thougts on that?

Greets,
*S.

I find it hard to believe, it doesn't rewire to cubase, no vst3, and no native pitch correction as far as I know of.

I started to use L9 a month ago, so I'm still learning and discovering.

It would be nice (or even more than that), that it would work with Cubase or for that matter another DAW. Now I have to export all my files and import them in Cubase if I want to mix and track and edit vocals in Cubase.

Maybe, I oversee things, and is it possible to do it as good and easy in L9, but after 20 yrs or so with Cubase, I'm a bit rusted on the workflow of it......
