I always find myself moving the offset point a little bit forward to fit the new recorded audio with the song. I am working at 512 buffer size.
Anyone else having this problem?

Yes ...
Have you attempted experimenting with the Latency Offset in the Preferences? There's a section in the Live manual which explains the procedure to follow to make this setting properly.
Does it effect the amount of offset you need to apply ?

I meant not the Buffer Size setting but rather the Overall Latency Compensation value ... is this the setting you're experimenting with ?Eraldo Bernocchi wrote:messing around with latency doesn't help at all, at least my set up.

Totally howevr I believe the Over Latency Compensation setting **should** influence this ... tried negative values ?Eraldo Bernocchi wrote:...can you imagine what could happen with a kick drum track? i'm always moving the starting point by (at least) 8ms.
