Post by Greeky » Tue Mar 07, 2017 8:28 pm

Hi there! I was just minding of how extending the numbers of slot for Audio or Midi clip in a mixer ? Because I'm having a project of live that needs to last at least 1 hour, I filled up all the slot that I could in my mixers, I need more clips slots where is the option to extend that ? I can't find it ^^

Sounds like you are trying to create a new scene in Session view. From the menu bar, select Create | New Scene. Or right-click in the far-right area of the Session view and pick that choice off the pop-up menu.

i'm not sure if this is still the case, since i don't create mega-sets, but it used to be that having a lot of clip slots could cause glitchiness. the workaround was to disable the stop buttons on any clips slots that do not need them (right click on a clip slot to do this, you can also select multiple clip slots and disable them in one hit)...

We had three people's midi instruments and controllers running through one version of live, the lead taking about 20 tracks, the drums 11, synth one plus two vox...

Went really glitchy and yes, removing stop buttons helped a lot. A LOT.
