just found a possible solution for the rendering problem. At least if it is UAD related.

Let's give it a try. Kind of boring to constantly switch buffer sizes though.

I am having the same pops, ticks, snaps and some times zipper sounds as well. I get them during playback also, not just during rendering.atomic wrote:well I am still NO luck with rendering. I get glitches sometimes on the first note and there will be the odd midi note that comes in late. Sometimes the FX returns are not in the mix, ticks, odd little noises here and there that i am not familier with, short birst of screetching noise in the middle one time and the list goes on and on. I have tried turning off my third party plug's to narow things down and it seems to be that allmost all of them are causing me problemsThe e-phonic Drumatic 22 seems to have timing issues (only when rendering) And it seems that my powercore card plugins cause random problems. I did not have time today to turn on and off each of my UAD-1 plugins and re-render each time like i tried doing with my powercore plugs just to try and see what if any of them where causing problems. Trouble shooting this stuff takes for ever and frankly I dont feel that I should have to. I am pretty anoyed with this as these problems where not happeninig to me in 4.13. I spent 3 hours today doing what should have taken 4 min.
Not good.
I've also noticed that like you, that some of my midi notes also come in out of sync with how I originally played them.
Rendering also gives the snaps, crackle and pops as well. My projects were created originally in Live 4.1 and worked fine there. I wonder if there is something out of wack with L5 with Live 4 projects?
I also have a UAD card. I will do some testing to see if I can rid my rendering problem. Although, if they have a problem with UAD, they're in trouble. I know Ableton will figure it out though.
Edit 1: It seems that there might be a problem with UAD. I took all plugins out and noticed that it helped stop some of the pops and clicks.
Edit 2: I also noticed that some MIDI notes will continue to play even though the music cursor has passed. I have some notes that will not stop playing till I click the Stop button or the song starts at the beginning when I have it set to repeat. Not sure if this is the reason, but this started to happen when I click the sound cursor(little speaker icon) placing the cursor at another place in the song line. This restarts the song at this point.
Also, I am not sure I know what others are referring to when they mention that one should resample? Could someone tell me what this means and how to do this? As you can see, I'm still a nube.
Thanks,
DennsT

yeah, i tried it... but then i suddenly realised, that i have 17 audiotracks where all sampels are about 7 minutes long.
just for doing my final mix down. too much for 1.5gig ram and ...crash... well live had too.
so i did it with resampling. a workaround that works... but please can we have proper rendering?
