Edirol PCR-M30 midi controller not working with Live lite 4

Hi, I am running a version of live lite 4 that came with my PCR-M30 Edirol controller. The problem is that I am getting a midi signal into the program as the green light inb the top responds, but i am hearing no sound. Has anyone else had this issue, it works fine in Nuendo, but only gives a signal in Ableton, no sound emits though........ Any ideas?.
