Hi Guys,
Got a new (PC) machine, and wanting to get the antivirus that is least likely to cause problems with Live, Push and other VSTs.
Have seen a few threads about antivirus causing havoc/stalls/drop-outs/crashes etc.
I use the laptop for work also, so not keen on using no virus protection.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Best Antivirus for Ableton?
Just get off the network and turn off the virus protection when using Live.
I have a ten year old XP laptop that I have never connected to the network...guess what, no viruses.

I´m using ESET NODE32 for all my computers, for my music laptop as well. Its low on CPU-ressources and I never had any issues the last 4 years. I switched from free Avira/G Data which both made a lot of problems.

Just use windows defender and avoid shady side of the internet.

Avast antivirus
Started using this bout 10 year ago cause the norton and mcafee were completely useless. They slowed my system to the point I couldn't use ableton.
So I switched to avast and have never looked back. I use it on all my computers.
And even better, it's FREE
