I imagine a button to memorize any automation state. It could be restricted to tracks, or devices. Every memory location could be recalled by a midi note, and could be permanent or momentary. Several memory location could be recalled at the same time. A morph would be possible between 2 memory locations, with midi a midi controller. That controller could also be automated.
With that 2 very simple function, we would have
1) a way to build presets, and no need more to use Mainstage or any Memory synth, Hardware effect... or Clyphx trick to get that result
2) a new intuitive way to build macros, that can command more than 8 parameters, without regard of it device, track... and without eliminate the ability to keep control of individual parameter in each device (the worst problem with actual Macros... really annoying)...
Can you Imagine the fun to switch from 2 memory location, and than to morph, to push punctually momentary set of parameters?
