Omnisphere installation
since I do not see any specific forum for Spectrasonic products I'm posting here.
I just purchased OMINISPHERE 2 and I cannot install it. the installer crashes the moment I click the last button (Install). I hope I get some support from the company but it's weekend and I hoped to play with the instruent for 2 days. Instead I'm stuck and I really hate the fact that many companies do not offer help on weekends. This is also true for Ableton.
I have boxed version with USB drive. Any ideas how to get this thing installed ?

What about updated installers? Can you register the product on the site perhaps? What OS are you on again?aklisiewicz wrote:since I do not see any specific forum for Spectrasonic products I'm posting here.

Re: Omnisphere installation
Knowing the system you are installing onto might help.
If its windows just try and make sure you are running the install with admin rights.
Also make sure the location you are installing has enough install space

There is a LogIn for: Omnisphere - Spectrasonics - Online Installation - Login
https://auth.spectrasonics.net/installa ... sID=776567
Cause I have DVD`s boxed Version of Version 1 i always need to use The upgraded Installer
from online for Version 2.

Re: Omnisphere installation
Without knowing your particular setup, if possible I would use the online installer like others have suggested. If your system is not online I'd check their site for suggested resolutions.

I use Live9 on Win10/64/ There is plenty of drive space and yes,I registered on Spectrasonics site, downloaded the installer. Of course I run it as Admin. Unfortunately there no forum on their site and their knowledge base is very thin in help. There is also no live support and not even form to create a trouble ticket. I have sent them email but so far no response.

They are pretty quick @support over there. I got always quick responses. But as you mentioned .. not on the WE`s.
I am on Win 10 64bit and its running here. In my case it first installed the 50 GB Steam Library and the VST at last in the process.

Re: Omnisphere installation
That sounds like you did Step2 then Step1 - right ? Did the Spectrasonics support told you to do it that way ?
Perhaps I should try that as well

Re: Omnisphere installation
no, your right, you choose first the vst-folder, then the steam-folder.
keep calm. in a couple of hours you will get hopefully support by them.
you run the installation as admin ?

Re: Omnisphere installation
I have Omnisphere 2 as an electronic download (Omnisphere 1 I have on the 6 DVD set but I also purchased the optional USB drive when it was offered) and haven't had to do a full install for years (just carry over the steam folder).
But just an idea, if you have enough space on your PC create a Temp folder and see if you can copy everything off the USB drive to your PC drive just to see if the USB may have an error? Also if you have 3rd party virus protection etc try disable all that business too. I too am on Win10/64 and have no issues either.
If you can copy the whole drive to the PC see if you can do an install from there. Otherwise Spectrasonics should get back to you very soon... as weird as they are not having a forum, or ever having a sale, they are normally quite prompt and very helpful with their customers.
