a Question from a noob about channels

I have a song that is only in the left channel. how do I record to
the mixing desk so it stays in the left channel?
I want to over dub a guitar part in the right channel.

Anyways. You can use the Utility device for this. Turn "Width" to 0% and then set "Panorama" to 50L
