Simpler "R" button?

Post by >v^<^^ » Thu Sep 15, 2005 5:48 pm

What does the "R" button in the lower right corner of Simpler do? I can't find mention of it in the manual, nor on this forum. In fact, the screenshot of Simpler in the manual doesn't have the button at all. The manual also says something about an LED for indicating voice stealing that I don't see. It looks like there was some last-minute design changes for Simpler that didn't get documented in the manual.

Thanks, I figured it was something along those lines.

The main thing is that it often saves on polyphony, without audible voice stealing

hi all,

you are right, it's the retrigger button and it's like mike said. the screenshot in the manual instead has the steal led, I think. the retrigger button was introduced in a cloak-and-dagger operation because it saves cpu when enabled, especially when having a long release time.

all the best,
matthias
