Java update broke Live

Bought a BCR2000
Had to update my Java JRE to use the editor
Got the latest JRE version from the java site
ASIO won't work at all
MME/DirectX works but only at latencies of 40mS+

Live 5.01
Echo Gina 24/96 - w/latest drivers
Dell Dimension 8300
2.8GHz P4
0.5 Gig RAM
Winblows XP Pro SP2 Ver. 2002

I reinstalled Java and updated my sound card drivers, all's well. I don't really need the editing software after all, the BCR is easy to program directly.

With a BCR I can remix with the PC monitor turned off...
