Warp Marker Playback Question
Warp Marker Playback Question
I'm adding warp markers to a long audio track and I have run into a bit of a dilemma. I'll push spacebar to pause and then when I push it again, it will return all the way back to the beginning of the audio file. Is there anyway to have it resume from the last warp marker instead?

Hey Stromkraft, thanks for the reply. I'm not looking for the Shift+Space Resume. I'm pretty sure that there is a hotkey that will take me back to my most recent warp marker. How do I do that?

33.14 Clip View Sample Display - There's CTRL/CMD left/right arrow to select the previous/next warp marker, but unfortunately that doesn't move the playing position.Mezzos wrote:I'm pretty sure that there is a hotkey that will take me back to my most recent warp marker. How do I do that?

Re: Warp Marker Playback Question
Right. Unfortunately I'm not aware of anything better. My best advice would be to look for an external transport control that could also read a list of your Warp Markers. External Protocols, like Mackie, does seem to be able to control Live in more detail than what Live can. Which is somewhat odd.Mezzos wrote:Hey Stromkraft, thanks for the reply. Re: Warp Marker Playback Question
While not a solution per se, you could look at Arrangement View's different functionalities and warp clips there and make use of the fact that Live will start playback from the Arrangement Insert Marker with the space bar. This is quite quickly added to the arrangement position by clicking once in the Clip Area. Use the Follow function to always have the relevant area in the clip area displayed.
While this is far from perfect or not what you asked for, still from a pure work process view it's relatively painless to use and may beat to have to move the mouse to the intended start position all the time. You can consider the suggestion an alternative until you find a better solution.

Ok, Thanks for the help.
Re: Warp Marker Playback Question
In Preferences there is a setting for playback when clicking the lower half of the clip view.
If that is activated, you can simply click the lower portion of the waveform in whichever region you're working on and it'll play (from whatever quantization you're currently at).
I used to be annoyed by having this feature on, when they first implemented it. But now it's one of my favorite features. Especially with touchscreen haha.
