Hi
Say I cut up a loop and consolidated it in my arrangement view. Then, when I drag it into a folder in ableton's browser window, ableton creates a folder and an alc file but I only want that audio sample saved as a wav sample. The reason is that it is much quicker to access samples than alc files (have to open a folder and then click preview not a fast workflow for me). Is there a way to drag and drop audio files as they are (wav loops) into a folder in the browser view?
Thanks
Fastest way to export audio from arranger to folder?

A workaround:EMC_Square wrote:Is there a way to drag and drop audio files as they are (wav loops) into a folder in the browser view?
- Select the clip
- Right-click and select "Show in Browser"
- The audio file is now selected in the browser. Drag it to the folder where you want it.
- Delete the clip
*Alternatively, just Select "Cut"* from the edit menu or use the keyboard shortcuts (Cmd/Ctrl-X. Then go the folder where you want the audio file and paste.

Thanks Stromkraft, good tip.
However, this way you copy the original loop but not the loop/ sound you were creating in the arrangement. I am looking for a way to quickly export loops/ sounds you created in your arrangement...

If you do a freeze/flatten operation prior to my suggestion there should be no difference.EMC_Square wrote: However, this way you copy the original loop but not the loop/ sound you were creating in the arrangement. Or are you talking about the sound of multiple tracks? If so, exporting the master into the folder where you want it is probably the fastest. You could also resample and use my suggestion on the file connected to that clip.
You can only drag and drop what you have in a selectable part containing the sum of all your operations. If you don't have that there's no workaround.
