I tried searching to forum to find some info about this but only saw one post that didn't answer my question.
I'm trying to snap clips together on the same track in arrangement view rather than to the grid. If I move or drag a new clip close to another one I've noticed that I'm running the risk of an overlap and cutting off the end of the audio on the clip I'm trying to snap it to. Is there a command for this anywhere or is it not a feature in Ableton Live 9?
Keep in mind I don't want to snap to the grid...just the clip.
thanks

I don't know such a technique, but unless you have very unorthodox clip lengths you should be OK with lowering the global quantize to 1/4 for example. So if you happen to have a clip that ends at the third quarter note of a bar, you should be able to move another clip filling in the missing quarter note time without risking to overwrite the first clip.MillsMixx wrote:I tried searching to forum to find some info about this but only saw one post that didn't answer my question.

Also zooming in helps, but that's obvious I suppose.
Make some music!

There's no clip snapping in Live, sorry.

It's like the program I own that can't snap to clips. Even Photoshop can snap to clips
