Looking for a MACROmacro aka 128cc global macropatch

Post by Joost » Fri Aug 25, 2017 8:18 pm

Hi

I have been looking for a MACROmacrodevice. What i have in mind is a 128 cc controller patch which can map to all parameters in a liveset. The goal is to have this device and not having to change channels while taking control of different parameters of devices on different channels including return channels during a liveset (using push2 for control) the ability the be able to rename the parameters would be extra good for creating a great workflow

Did somebody allready make a device which can do this? next to super intuitive control i think it must also be a cpu saver. I think alot of people will be helped by a device like this. I am not capable of creating max4live patches myself so i really hope somebody allready had the same idea and made one. I havent been able to find one so far, hope you can give the golden tip

Greetings from NL

You mean a device with 128 knobs that output 128 cc ?
It's quite easy to do. You'll have to set up an internal MIDI port (IAC bus on OS X)
MacBook Pro 13" Retina i7 2.8 GHz OS 10.13, L10.0.1, M4L.
MacStudio M1Max 32Go OS 12.3.1

More like a lowcpu multimapper with 128 controls that has dynamic name display for push2

This one might serve your needs. It works in banks of 8, you can change names that'll be displayed on Push and you can use Racks as banks.

You talked about ccs, that got me confused. H2k's device is a very clever one.

That seems interesting, thanks for the tip

What is your experience using many separate instances on stability and cpu usage?

The patch is about as minimal as it can get. Its designed to work around the Undo bug as much as possible, so its very stable and CPU usage is negligible.
