Setting a macro to trigger repeat notes?

Would like to be able to get something close to the Rtrig/Rtime functions on the Machinedrum. Either to be able to trigger x amount of hits per note, or being able to dial it round through the different subdivisions. Find the repeat function on the push a little clunky and would love to know how to set it to a macro, but not really sure where to start. Any advice much appreciated!

Maybe arpeggiator device?
