Make every midi note to play a single midi note.

Post by THEMOD » Fri Sep 15, 2017 8:38 pm

I want every received midi note to play drum rack's single note.
Anyone can give me some solutions on this problem?
Making the effect through M4L is the best, but my ableton is standard version which does not includes M4L
Thanks!

Strange. What's the big picture? Not sure why you would want to do that?

I think you can solve this problem in a matter of minutes using the info view — Cmd (or Ctrl) - Opt- L or bottom left arrow in the GUI — and looking around all the parts of a drum rack, mousing over everything, while you play a clip with multiple different notes. Investigate everything and try all interesting options. It will dawn on you.

I assume that you are talking about this. I've messed up with these for an hour before I post the topic. But it didn't work out well.
I chose "all note" on the "receive", and the specific note that I want other notes to play on the "play".
This changed the sample's pitch on every notes... Can't figure out why this is happening.

Well, where's the sampler/simpler? It needs to be on the pad only. Obviously if you have other pads in the rack they will play as well if their note is triggered.

ordinarily, there's no need for that. Maybe in this case if the OP want other pads/chains in the same rack.
