how could they not have this planned?
WTF ableton
im fine with ableton as it is but this is just a MUST have
they are going to loose all of their customers that bought any mpe instrument like this
i cant believe this
upvoting the shit out of these
would love to vote on it but the website wont let me make a beta account, have contacted ableton support multiple times about this but no reply.Stromkraft wrote:I can't help to laugh at the comments to this very reasonable request about MPE support — that I also would like very much thank you — given the fact that Live doesn't even support polyphonic aftertouch since forever (only Channel Pressure). And Live succeeded to get to the top without Poly AT that's been a part of MIDI for around thirty years!
I support the struggle, but maybe you could at least try and look outside your own personal needs also and reframe this request in reality. If so, this request would be much more than cute in context.
MPE support (SUG-1678) at centercode (where users can vote on suggestions), currently have only 53 votes so aren't even on the first page. Have you voted there?
There are a few suggestions for Poly AT, but just a few more votes than that on those. I guess people are unaware of the power of these aspects of MIDI. I nevertheless think many people would appreciate this, so it's very good there is a discussion going. Keep the flame alive!
I'm wishing for both Poly AT, MPE and a whole load of MIDI improvements in Live 10. Here's for hope.
