Hello people!
right to the point:
I've been making an instrument rack using randomized impulse in drumrack.
Now I've recorded long notes which I want to be able to control the length by either holding down the keys longer or make longer/shorter midi notes. keeping the decay at a medium for a slight fadeout.
How ever, impulse seems to be only randomly holding a sample for the set time....
So lets say I make 8, 1/2 bar notes in a midi clip....
It will only hold 1 or 2 of those notes for the set length while the others just fade out right away.. as if you tap them really shortly.
and each time I play the midi clip it holds a different note for the entire length while others just fadeout right away..
Is there anyone that can tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!!
Solution:
After looking for about 1,5 hours I figured out that although I set a sample to ''gate mode'' and copy value to siblings
I found it only copied the value to the same sample slot of all other impulses in the drum rack, not all the sample slots inside the same impulse.
And since the impulses are set to trigger 1 of 8 samples at random.
It of course only worked when it ''randomly'' triggered the sample slot with ''gate'' activated..
Sorry y'all
