Any way to prevent .ALCs from loading notes in a new lane?

Is there a way to drop ALC files on to a drum track whereby they fall in to the pre-existing lanes as opposed to creating new ones?

Ie. I've been designating an individual track to each drum element as of late, and would love to be able to drop different notations in via ALC, but it gets messy while jamming as they create a new lane which means I have to go in and shift them up a lane manually
