Can I midi control parameter under mouse?

For the mobile producer there isn't much space for huge ass midi controllers. I was wondering if there was a way to control parameter under the mouse using an external midi controller, say the MacBook Pro touch bar? Would make automation a breeze!

Better than Midi and portable: Nob Control. There’s also the Kontrol Master. Same principle, less portable. I recently bought the Kontrol Master and it works just as advertised. Some Native Instruments plug-ins don’t react to it (Battery, Enhanced EQ, Supercharger), others do - I don’t know if that would be the same with the Nob Control, though.
