This is going to sound stupid but I can't record using live3

Post by heshelman » Sun Sep 18, 2005 10:56 pm

I am a DJ and used Live TWICE to make a simple mix CD in July. Now, when I try to record again I cannot get the program to recognize an input signal from my mixer thru the M-Audio transit analog/digital USB converter. I have tried everything: updating the program to 3.0.4. Changing the output from the mixer to tape outs on my amp and direct from the turntable mixer. Changing the USB inputs, cables, levels, etc. Changing the order of all the steps to record within the program. I am either forgetting some simple stupid step to record (and I have the basic recording setup stuff properly set) or the laws of eletricity have changed since I last used this. The manual is especaially vague on this topic. I am ready to either replace the USB converter or buy a mac and try Garage Band. This is pretty sad. Any suggestions? I would love to be guided through this.

have you set up your inputs properly in the audio preferences, and do you have the monitoring switched on correctly?
