I'm stuck with this same problem right now and it's literally a brand new computer. I bought it yesterday, completely stock Lenovo Windows 10 install. I haven't used any of those dumb registry cleaner apps. What I have done, is used the Windows disk cleanup control panel utility which emptied out some temp directories. I want to move my Live installation to a different hard drive but right now I can't uninstall, and I can't reinstall.

Storing important, don't-throw-this-away files in a temp directory is an extremely stupid move and I'm pretty choked.

-=- Edit for anyone who has this same problem and has found their way here looking for answers: -=-

I downloaded Revo Uninstaller ( http://revouninstaller.com ) and used it to uninstall Live, and it seems to have done a pretty good job, except for the Start Menu shortcut which I had to delete manually. After the Revo uninstall, I was able to get the installer to run again.

I am still unhappy that I had to resort to installing some freeware app from a publisher I don't know or particularly trust in order to clean up the mess left behind by the official Live installer. That's a little embarrassing.

And @Khazul, if "It works for other people so you must have screwed it up" is what you have to add to this thread you could probably just not post :)
