What happened to my live 9?

my live 9 license is gone after upgrading to 10.... what happens if I need to go back to 9 for some reason?

You still can, it's just assumed you have L10 now, why would you want to go back.

You always have the ability to go back if you need, the license covers you UP to that version.

that's a relief, I freaked a little when I saw it gone. I'm a windows user, I'm used to the first versions never working right.
