In Pro Tools you can change the grid from bars and beats to samples, so that if you zoom in all the way you can actually see a grid that shows each sample in the session. I'm talking about 44, 48, 88, 96 sample rate. I'm not talking about samples you would drop in the sampler or simpler. The fact that "sample" means both of these things has made googling this particularly frustrating, especially for Ableton Live since the sampler and simpler are such a big feature.
As far as I can tell, there is no way to zoom in and look at things with a grid based on the sample rate, which totally sucks haha. I love Live but it really surprises me some of the things they have left out. I would love to be wrong on this so please if anyone knows how I can do this please let me know! Also, if someone is sure it is impossible that would be good to know as well!
