I can understand if you want many more gradiations of speed to play with, but I don't understand the omission of tempo sync 
Of course, while we are at it, a simpler pro with timestretching, layers, and repeating envelopes ala operator!

if you open an OPERATOR and click the LFO shell, you should notice that in the bottom left of the display window under MODE, you can choose BEAT, LOOP, or SYNC.
isn't that what you're looking for??
