i'd really like to know, too! all i can say is, i worked as a sound engineer during one of the dj grazzhoppa's big band shows (see mbazzy's post) and most of the 12 (!!!) dj's had these little red boss loop stations , the RC-20. one of them was also using ableton Live.

I imagine you could use Live like Kid Beyond does but with turntables. If you got those kind of skills of course. As, for me I'll just watch the video. :?

Q-Bert is by far the most technically talented. He knows all.

Mix Master Mike is the man for strange shit and pure improvisational skill.

The X-Ecutioners are great to watch cuz it's 6 turntables and they have such control over their sound and show.

I think DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist do some great stuff with old records, not just mixing but scratching too. (Check out Cut scratching "bust this" from Roxanne Roxanne on the Product Placement tour.)

Other than that Babu, Shortkut, Z-Trip, Melo-D, Nu-Mark, Mike Relm, are all good stuff. Just watch Scratch and you'll see all of these fools.
