Live 10 Session Bug - lost everything

Post by jaze22 » Sun Feb 11, 2018 10:03 pm

I just opened one of my Live 10 files, while loading I could see the session data for a split second, now it is all gone, only the arrangement data remains. A lot of work gone, it's a really bad bug.

Live 10 says there is nothing to undo, nothing to redo.

Hi,
can you more specify wich kind of Data is lost. Midi, Audio or Automation?
Normally Live didn't erase Data from you Hard Drive unless you explicit want this or you delete the files by yourself.
Maybe Live lost the path to your project files then you get an information at the bottom of your Live window a red line with the path information of the lost file.
And for sure, if you start first time your project there is nothing in the undo/redo history so Live can't undo/redo anything.

In your project folder, there is now a backup folder (new in L10). Try to open the last saved file.

Thanks, I found it in the backup and all data is there, so backup worked great.

I don't really understand what happened. In the backup directory was the latest version (slightly different filename). It appears, 'Open Recent Set' only showed the two older versions, hence me thinking all data lost.
