Live 10 - Small Arrow Group Collapse

Hi !
In Live9, there was a small arrow in arrangement view, under groups, that would hide all tracks in this group, and leave only the group track and its controls. It was then possible to see the track's fader, and work with it.

In Live10, this arrow has disappeared. So when closing the group, there is no more control on its volume.

Anyone know a way around that ?

I'm nowhere near anywhere to test this myself at the moment, but in your picture there's a striking difference in the folded group tracks height between the two.

Can you click-drag the track divider below the folded track in your Live 10 example and make it higher? Those hidden controls [edit: and maybe the folding arrow] should reappear then.

No, this does not change anything.
In Live 10, when a group is closed, and you try to make the track higher, it automatically reopens all included tracks below.

I would like to add that, very oddly, when a group contains 6 tracks or more, then, when closed, the compacted tracks visualisation inside the group is bigger, and so, more controls are available.

You're right, I can replicate every step.

It looks like two things have happened: They've replaced the unfold arrow for groups with the four lined group symbol, and the automation arrow (the larger one next to the group/track name) with the more global automation mode button above all tracks.

I'd even call the fact that a group of less than six tracks folds down a single line and hiding track controls a gui-bug. It should fold down to three lines instead, keeping track activation, track volume and send controls visible.

You ought to file a bug report through Ableton's contact form; including a link to this thread may help, your screenshots are already here.

This is a known and filled issue for quite a long time.
It's a bit annoying but for the time being we have to wait for a fix.

what i mean is, is the arrow coming back?... or is the fix to have more controls on the collapsed track?... or both?

to put it another way; what does Ableton officially think is broken?
