Follow Actions for Scenes

Post by dominicw78 » Fri Dec 12, 2014 1:06 pm

Having follow actions for scenes would so great for performing live. I currently achieve this with a workaround but it's very laboursome and problematic when you want to make changes.

Now that I currently use my own ad hoc method for doing this I can't actually believe it hasn't been implemented yet, it's such a great way of having live function.

One important option would be to be able to turn off/on the follow action with a button press. So that you can at any moment take back control and do things manually.

This way when doing a performance you can set all your tracks to play in the your chosen order, without having to launch every scene, however the moment you want to take control and do something a bit different, extend a part or go back to a different part you can turn off scene follow. Then on again when needed!

I realize this is very old, but yes we absolutely need this. Good hardware sequencers have this. You can set a defined number of repetitions for all steps, but you also have the option to set a step to loop infinitely. That's what I need to do. Key parts like intros, builds, breaks, etc should be easy to set to repeat once and then go on to the next scene.
