new methods/options to convert/resample a stereo clip 2 mono

Upgraded to 10 and was seeing if there was a quick way to resample a stereo track to mono. I put utility in on the stereo track and selected mono button as well as turn down the width all the way to 0 and tried to resample the stereo track and it still came out mono. Is there a way to make a stereo clip convert into a mono clip by resampling how in any way? Any help is greatly appreciate or any other ways around it would be helpful.

Live doesn't have any option to resample/flatten to 1 channel mono track, but with your method what you get is a mono signal anyway. It's dual-mono, but the signal is exactly the same on both channel. You can still use an external audio editor if you want to split your dual mono file to a single channel file.

Upgraded to 10 and was seeing if there was a quick way to resample a stereo track to mono.

The classic way is to use the audio export option "Convert to Mono" and just re-import it straight away. This can be done quickly. There will be only one channel. The signal from which will of course go to both the left and right channels in the Live mixer.

A one channel mono file will null with a Dual mono file (2 channels) as the same info is on both channels in that, just 3dB lower in volume. When you add these together the level will be the same as the one channel mono file.
Dual mono is what you can create staying inside Live.
