Hercules DJ Console COntrol
I can't use my Hercules DJ to control Live!! Please help!
I've just wasted an evening trying and had no joy with ASIO drivers either. The MME/DirectX ones seem to work okay for using VirtualDJ but can't handle the more complex tracks I've put together in Live without glitching.
In order to use it this way, just untick the ASIO box in the Console Mixer options, and make sure the bit-rate in the Console Mixer matches that in Live's audio options. Also, having it in DJ mode seems to reduce drop-outs.
Worse still, if you put it in ASIO mode, you get rogue MIDI messages leaking through, which makes it impossible to assign controls in Live. Again, this problem goes away in MME/DirectX mode.
Not ideal solutions - and I shall be badgering the people at Hercules til they write a decent bloody ASIO driver - I suggest you register & do the same here:

It's a real shame as it lets down an otherwise good piece of hardware (and means I can't sell me M-Audio Transit yet either...
