Forward MIDI Controller to VST plugin?

Hello!
I'm new to Ableton Live 10 but just cannot seem to find any help on my specific problem.

I have an Ableton project up and running. I have a MIDI controller connected and it is visible and working in Ableton.

Now I would like to use my MIDI controller inside of Superior Drummer 3 (when it is open). Superior Drummer 3 has a an area where you can create drum tracks and I'd like the help of my MIDI controller to do this. I can get this working when I start Superior Drummer 3 in stand alone mode but not inside of Ableton.

So my question is, how do I setup so that the MIDI inputs are forwarded to Superior Drummer 3?

Ok so it was actually already forwarded. Nothing was happening because I had moniter set to "Off", setting it to "In" now works!

With monitor set to Auto you can do record and playback easily just by using the channel’s Arm button.
