Changing hz in distorted kick

Post by mary jane » Sat May 12, 2018 1:13 pm

Hi guys,

I have a kick which is distorted in the high. I was told to roll it off anything after 300 Hz & boost 50-100hz. Just wondering how I could do this in Live 7? (7.0.18) Would I just need to decrease the transpose a bit?

Thanks in advance.

You could use the EQ8 device in Live to make those changes, though I’m not sure what changing the pitch has to do with this?

Thanks Tarekith!

I was just reading around on how to change the hZ and thought it mentioned transpose.

My next question is how can I see what the current hz is for the kick audio sample? I am using spectrum but any eq changes i make to the kick, the spectrum stays the same.

Is Spectrum the last thing in the chain? It should be to see any changes. What are you doing for the kick, EQ?
