Problems with deleting automation breakpoints (mouse)

Hi, this drives me nuts. With the trackpad on my Macbook Pro 2017 I have no problems clicking automation breakpoints to delete them. But when using my magic mouse (which I mostly do in the studio) I can't delete the breakpoints anymore (using the same setup, same computer etc.). It works 1 out of 10 times. Does anybody else have this problem and a way to solve it? It really drives me nuts

This just started happening here after installing MacOS High Sierra - trackpad works, Magic Mouse rarely works for deleting breakpoints. Everything else seems normal.

Is there an update on this issue? Still drives me nuts and as a consequence of not being able to delete breakpoints, my automation lines look like total chaos...
