Plugins for MIDI Manipulation
Hi - Does anyone know of a plugin that does the kind of MIDI manipulations that MIDI-OX does? Nothing too complicated - just a few things that Live can't do for itself, such as filtering out a particular CC message or changing it into a different CC before passing it to an instrument. MIDI-OX does all of that, but I'd prefer not to use it because it's one more thing to have to remember to load, and one more potential source of instability. I'm using Live Intro on Windows 10. Thank you -

Something like this?
http://www.maxforlive.com/library/devic ... iconverter
But you'll need Max for Live, Intro doesn't support that.

Ah, I see. Max for Live does look like the way to do it ... I'll just have to wait until I can justify upgrading from Intro. Thanks for the info.

Re: Plugins for MIDI Manipulation
Even better ... I've just found this, which does what I want: http://www.midikarval.net/MidiMapper.html - it's a very straightforward, low-footprint plug-in, which uses note or CC events to trigger other MIDI events (or to change parameter values), very much like MIDI-OX but simpler and without the need to run a separate program outside Live. It's supplied as a 32-bit .dll file, so you have to use jBridger to convert it to 64-bit and then jBridge to host it within Live - I've written some notes about this if anyone else is considering using MidiMapper but has been put off by the conversion process.
