Melodic Steps Legato

Post by Byxx » Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:32 pm

Hi,

You can add this change in MAX to achieve legato notes in Melodic Steps. This becomes important when you want to use longer note length than 8th or so. Or using ballad tempos 60-80 bpm. In my work these occurs here and there.

Change the multiply (*) to (* 10000)

It just multiplies the note length. Don´t forget to Save the Max Patch (different name).

BTW: Don´t freak out:
Sometimes I have to restart live to get it going.
After editing in M4L (No Restart), my Piano triggered by Melodic Steps does not play immediately:

---BUT:
After Restarting LIVE the Piano Plays as expected. No worries

The resulting overlapping notes are pretty experimental though. An update will be an optional note off message each time a new note is triggered.

Cheers
