I have been trying to identify this tom tom sample but have not been able to find it (looked through all the TR kits)
You can hear it clearly in Disclosure's "Omen", right when Sam Smith is singing "oh oh omen". It's a light sound, somewhat of a flam, high pitched tom tom. You can hear it around the 1:22 mark coming in at the off beats (link is here).
The sample also comes up in Chrome Sparks' "I Just Wanna" at the 2:46 mark (link is here)
Does anyone have an idea what sample this is? Thank you!
What tom tom sample is this?

Re: What tom tom sample is this?
Hi, from what I can hear there is no tom in the omen one. I hear a clave and rim shot
And in the other tune there is a zap sound
Are these what you are meaning?

Try taking a cowbell sample, detune it a bit and cut off the transient and tale, so you're just left with a short sample that kind of has the tone of a cowbell. Only other thing I can think of is a popcorn snare with almost no tail.
