Risk of buying software?

Im new here. I am looking to buy 10 standard. I noticed that some sellers are fairly new to the forum, so naturally Im suspicious. Should I buy from a reputable source and pay the extra, or take a risk on this site? I have the 1 month free live 10 suite at present. When do Ableton sales come up? Thanks for any advice.

Of course a rip off can happen, but it's usually ok to buy from here.
Chat with the seller, and if you have any doubt just forget and find an other one.

I've bought and sold both here and at KVR and have never had an issue. Software seems to be less of a ripoff risk than hardware, in my experience.
