Mapping plugin parameter inside Ableton software instrument

Post by jx3 » Sun Dec 23, 2018 2:12 pm

I'll probably word this post wrong so included some screenshots in order to make some things clearer. :)

I have an Ableton Live software instrument (Analog in this case). I want to take the LFO of this instrument and modulate the cutoff frequency of my Waldorf D-Pole multimode filter. From what I've read, I think you can Midi map this so that you can choose the D-Pole cutoff frequency within the Analog software instrument. Just like you would if you were modulate Analog's own filter (which I've found out, Waldorf's sounds much better. :p)

.gif of Analog and the area you would normally modulate the cut-off frequency:

Sorry, but you cannot use any of the internal modulators of Analog (or any native device) to control other devices. That's one reason why so many modulation devices have been created in M4L.

Oh, okay. I'll stop wracking my brain trying to figure out how to do it. :D

Yes, when I glad when I do add Max For Live. It will be very useful w/ Ableton. Thanks! :thumbsup
