Currently, if I key map a solo button it turns it into more of an on/off switch.
Example: let's say I want to A/B compare track 1 and track 2. With the mouse I can click on the solo buttons for those tracks. If I click on track 1, it solos track one, if I click on track 2, it solos track 2, and turns the solo off for track 2. Now, let's say I key map track 1 to 'A' on my keyboard, and track 2 to 'B' on my keyboard. If I hit 'A' track one solos, but if I now hit 'B' I am hearing both track 1 and 2, as the solo for track 1 never got turned off.
Kinda defeats the purpose of key mapping solo buttons.

Solo is probably turned off. Turn it on to fix your problem.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't aware of this feature.hoffman2k wrote:Go to preferences > Record > Exclusive

Unfortunately it didn't solve my problem. It is turned on, and functions properly when using the mouse, just not when using key mapping or midi mapping.
Re: Key mapping solo buttons properly
I came across this issue too. Weirdly enough for some tracks it works as it is supposed to (i.e. the same way as if I clicked on the solo button with a mouse) and for other tracks it acts as you described. It seems like a bug.
