samples missing?

hi there

got live and the update for a few days and just encountered this problem. when saving an arrangement as self contained file there were some samples missing. these came from a cover mounted cd i tried out....my own samples were still there.... anybody knows why this could happen? before you could hear everything, everything was also recorded to the arrangement, but after saving some were gone.... message : sample xy could not be copied .....
any help appreciated

Well maybe you should have copied the files from the CD first - otherwise they are probably played from the CD instead of the HD and might not have gotten saved.... still, very strange though...

hi format

sure i copied the samples first in the appropriate folder, so there were already on the disk... and they were wav files which were protected, right now i put them into peak and saved them as my aiff files , now everything is ok. but it should have worked before also....

strange is it

It's a bug. The sample files that you copied from the CD are locked, and the Mac version of Live can't copy locked files. We fixed that bug for the final 1.5 release; in the meantime, just unlock the files on your hard disk.
