I'm working from a default template which has multiple midi tracks routing to various synths in my studio. In the midi preferences tab, I set my track/sync/remote settings then my midi output channels become available and I set them accordingly. It seems that Ableton isn't holding on to these midi preferences when I open the default template the next day or in some cases even later on in a working day on a fresh default template. Is there any way to get Live to adhere to these midi preferences every time I open it? Changing the settings at the beginning of every session is a little annoying. Does anyone else have this issue? I can't seem to find many people reporting it.
I'm using a Motu Midi Express to send and receive midi and working from Live 10.1 on a 2012 Mac Pro.
Midi Port Settings Don't Seem To Save
Re: Midi Port Settings Don't Seem To Save
Are you saving the template after you make the edits?
The only time I lose my port settings is when a particular MIDI device is not connected when I launch Live. So I always turn all my MIDI devices on before I launch Live...problem solved.
If everything is connected through the MOTU interface and you always have the interface connected and powered on before launching Live, then I don't understand why you are having a problem.

Re: Midi Port Settings Don't Seem To Save
Thank you for your reply
Yea I've done a save after the port changes were made and I still seem to have the issue every couple days where it all needs to be reconfigured. I also have all my hardware powered on before launching Live.
