Simultaneous Midi Controllers/Keyboards problem.....

Post by rossd » Mon Sep 26, 2005 5:08 pm

Anybody have any trouble trying to run more than one midi keyboard via usb. I can't seem to use two at the same time(I'm using a Oxygen 8 and a Radium 49). I tried running them thru a usb hub and then thru each usb slot on my Powerbook G4. In the prefernce menu under midi it only says "USB Port 1" So i tried running the 2 thru a usb hub into that port and it did not work. Please help me out thanks.

have you tried it without the usb hub? that would be the first thing I would check out.

If it is not that then I am not sure

yeah i tried the usb hub, apparently M-Audio says the don't reccomend the use of hubs, but did give names of some that they did test and actually worked well. As far as running a keyboard separately into each built in usb port, for some reason in the preferences on USB Port 1 comes up.
