Sustain / Footswitch Pedal

Post by TMDQ » Fri Aug 23, 2019 12:14 pm

Hello!
I have recently bought a novation launchkey 49 and a Boss FS-6 footswitch ( Dual footswitch ) . I'm looking to use the FS-6 both as a footswitch and as sustain pedal for the midi keyboard. I'm having trouble because ableton recognize both pedals of the boss as the same map "CC64". Is there a way to solve it or do i have to get a midi foot controller? Thanks in advanced!

Did your pedal come with any kind of software or firmware? If so, you should be able to change the CC value of one of the pedals in the software to separate the two.

No it didn't, it's not a midi footswitch, so i don't think it comes with any software :(
It's plugged on the novation launchkey on the "sustain" port.

Check these out. It allows you to plug your pedal straight into your PC. I just recently bought one and I can use the software that comes with it to adjust the pedal however I like. It might be helpful to you, but I'm not sure. I've never seen a pedal split between midi and sustain before.

How are you connecting it?? The dual foot switch has two different foot switches. I can see one being plugged in, but you still have a jack for the second switch to be plugged to something else ??

If you’re using the center plug, that won’t work as expected on a keyboard jack that is intended for a basic sustain pedal.
